Did you know that there are 32 million owned dogs in the world and 20 million stray dogs in the world. In japan there are 9.5 million dogs. Today I will be talking about one breed of dog that I love the most, the pitbull. Pitbulls are one of the most abused or misunderstood dogs because of how they look, how strong they are, and that sometimes they used for dog fighting.
Not all all pitbulls are aggressive, it actually depends how they are raised. If they were abused a lot, then they are most likely to grow up aggressive. But if they and raised like a baby with love and attention, then they are most likely going to bark less, not bite and chew on stuff.
Did you know that 16,000 pitbulls die from dog fighting. Dog fighting is illegal so if you get caught you could end up in jail for upto 1-5 years.
About 99% of pitbulls are dog fighting in the streets. A pitbull can cost upto 5,000 dollars. But a dog fighter carries 10,00 at least in their purse to pay for a good fighting dog. Now moving on the something positive.
Here is a interesting fact pitbulls. They are the worst guard dogs in the world they will bark but not bite. Pitbulls don’t bite as hard, but it will hurt sometimes. German Shepherd have the strongest bite in the world so make the best guard dogs but that’s not we are here to talk about.
Here a fact they you may not know. Only the dogs master can touch their heads cause if anyone stranger touches their head it mean disrespect to the dog.
Here are 5 things nobody tells you before getting a pitbull.
- Their will be no scraps left in your house. They are great at recycling food.
- Sometimes your dog will reject you if you do not take good care of it. They need lots of love and attention.
- They will keep your fitter because you need to walk them every day.
- They always listen and keep your secrets so make the best of friends.
- Pitbulls will chew on anything they can get their hands on.
Most pitbulls are really protective, they don't like anyone touching their caregivers. They will bark at everyone they don’t know. Like my own pitbull, called Tiny, he barks at all my aunts, uncles and my cousins. But when they get close, he will just run away. I think that pitbulls are a misunderstood breed of dog. They make great pets because they are protective and funny. So the next time you see a pitbull remember what I have shared without today and give them a second chance.
